A message from Scott Watson – WBI owner, lead instructor, and current Assistant Coach at Edmonds Community College
WBI is dedicated to personal development. We are excited to educate parents when it comes to training. The number one question that every parent should ask prior to choosing baseball or softball training is – How are you going to develop my son or daughter?
Machines and facilities have absolutely nothing to do with training and personal development. Often times they are simply an attraction. Think about all the great players from the Dominican, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico. I can guarantee you there is nothing fancy going on there.
What really matters is that the correct information is being taught. Coaches and instructors must not confuse activity with achievement. It would not matter who was doing the training provided they had the correct information.
Misinformation is called conventional wisdom – things that are said so often that it’s believed to be true. Some examples are – pull your glove to your chest, get to a balance point, don’t throw side arm, keep your weight back, and even hit the top half of the ball.
The owner of WBI, Scott Watson, invites all parents to a free evaluation or consultation – no strings attached – no pressure whatsoever. He completed 4 years of college baseball and has been coaching for the last 15 years – both high school and college baseball. Scott is currently the Assistant Coach for the Edmonds Community Tritons. He helped lead the Tritons to an NWAACC Championship in 2008.
Contact WBI today for your free sit down with Coach Watson. He will educate you on how to train and what all parents should know. He will teach you how to save money and invest it in what really works. Our children are our most important investment – why wait!
